Today there are seven Indian Institutes of Technology (or IITs) offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in engineering, science, management,agricultural and other disciplines. The IITs are also known for world-class research in science and technology.

IIT Alumni occupy positions of leadership at top universities, at leading research institutions, at small and large companies, in government, and at non-profit organizations.Each of the IITs maintain their own website and each IIT also has their own Alumni Association.

Indian InstituteS of Technology conducts a Joint entrance examination every year for admission to its B-Tech, M-Tech dual degree and other courses offered at IIT Kanpur, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kharagpur, Guwahati, Roorkee, IT Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad.

The general notion is that the IIT-JEE is a difficult examination and the questions are complex and tough, this is absolutely not true. It is merely a very different exam. All it requires is a proper examination temperament and different approach to the subjects than most of the other examinations.

To have optimum success and avoid failing one has to develop excellent examination temperament besides knowledge of the subjects and developing problem solving skills.
